With the recent shift towards globalization, we will look at business expansion and building sustainable business models through strategic investments in language education services and expansion into China and overseas.

Inception of the Nichii Group

Founded in December 1968
Nichii Gakkan was founded as a provider of medical insurance administrative services by Akihiko Terada (Founder) when he witnessed firsthand the plight of medical clinics overwhelmed with processing insurance claims at the beginning and end of every month, preventing doctors from providing medical care.

Origins of the Company Name
Nichii Gakkan began as a provider of medical insurance administrative services for medical clinics. The company then went on to hold the first medical administrative course in Japan and began its human resource development (education) business. The company name, Nichii Gakkan, is derived from the Japanese "Nihon no Iryo wo Manabu Yakata" (a place of study for Japanese medical care).

Origins of Our Logo
Nichii's "N" logo was designed with a feather pen motif.
This ties back to the original reason for the company's founding - medical insurance administrative services were, at the time, performed in handwriting with a pen. The feather also symbolizes the great strides Nichii Gakkan has achieved through its business activities.
